In this role you'll be managing highly complex projects and supporting Planners on Conservation Management Strategies, Conservation Management Plans, and National Park Management Plans from Cape Reinga to Bluff.Some of these processes can span a number of years, and there will also be opportunities for you to identify and support/lead improvement initiatives across the team.You'll be joining an incredibly talented team and supporting the planners and teams to deliver, while monitoring risks and issues, and supporting ongoing management and mitigations through governance.Working across a range of Treaty Settlements and conservation planning processes will enable you to put your strong problem-solving skills, flexibility and adaptability into action as new information arises. Accurate, timely and clear advice to governance and decision makers and/or the wider public is also an important aspect of this role.You will have relevant project management experience and can demonstrate an ability to:plan, monitor and report on workdevelop necessary supporting processes and systemsobtain and co-ordinate resourcesanticipate, identify and respond to the needs of internal and external partiesmonitor relationships and resolve critical issues promptlyYour communication skills will be excellent, both written and oral, as you may be drawn upon to give advice to senior leaders. In addition, you will be a team player who is focused on securing conservation outcomes, mentoring, and working alongside others. An ability to be flexible and to adapt to work requirements, coupled with an ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of people, both internally and externally, will be integral to this role.You will need to think big, and yet provide detail and clarity, so your strong analytical and organisational ability will be complemented by excellent written and oral communication skills.DOC places importance on developing a culture where everyone can participate, thrive, and grow.
