Senior Project Manager at University of Canterbury, CanterburyLocated in Otautahi | Christchurch, Aotearoa | New ZealandFull-time 37.5 hours per week (1.0 FTE)Fixed-term 2 yearsAu Mahi | What You Will DoWe have a unique opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to take the operational lead of He Kokonga Whare e Kitea - Data Coaching for student success project. With an 'equity in outcome' target, the project you will lead will focus on leveraging data effectively to work at scale, ensuring staff and the wider organisation can have greater impact on student outcomes.Delivered as a consortium between the University of Canterbury and Victoria University of Wellington, the Senior Project Manager will work across both institutions to ensure the smooth development and delivery. The Senior Project Manager will work closely with university leadership in both institutions and will be accountable for all aspects of delivery, to ensure funding and governance meet project sponsor expectations.Mou | Who You AreTo be successful in this role, you will have proven experience in project management within an educational setting, preferably focused on student success initiatives. You will hold a Postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline such as MBA or similar. You will also have:a minimum of 9 years' experience working in a project delivery role, preferably in an education or tertiary settingknowledge of leading student success projects, from conception through implementation, ensuring alignment with institutional goalsfamiliarity with educational assessment tools and methodologiesskills in analysing and utilising data to inform programme development and assess student success metricsexperience in independently developing and leading a project from end to endproven ability to independently lead and develop a highly motivated and efficient teamprior experience building effective working relationships at all levels across a universityability to manage and maintain budgetsactive commitment to upholding the values, tikanga (protocols and processes), kawa (rules) of cultural practice and traditions as guided by mana whenua, Ngai Tuahuriri, and valuing te reo Maori.This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student outcomes through effective project management and data-driven decision-making.Mahi Ngatahi | Who You Will Work WithThe mahi undertaken in this project aligns closely and will help drive UC's student success programme - Kia Angitu.
