We'll be implementing Te Au Reka over the next few years and are looking for people to be part of our team.Te whiwhinga mahi/The OpportunityThe Senior Project Manager role sits within the 'Digital and Information Team' for Te Au Reka, reporting directly to the Director, Digital and Information.
They will provide project management to the Te Au Reka teams and will be responsible for applying effective project management methodologies.
Initial focus for this role will be on data and reporting, including downstream and upstream considerations, reflecting the requirements across multiple business groups and working closely with our vendors to develop detailed technical designs.To be successful in the Senior Project Manager role you will be able to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with all parties including the wider Te Au Reka team, the Ministry, the Judiciary, and our vendors.
You will have a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams, managing timelines and delivering projects that meet high-quality standards.To be successful in the role, you will ideally have:Education / professional qualifications, technical skills and work experienceProfessional qualification or equivalent knowledge, skill and experience in Project or Programme Management, or other related field.Experience in a complex multi-stakeholder environment using structured programme and project practices.Able to read, understand and interpret complex documents, including detailed technical design, and business information.Able to exercise sound judgement, organisational awareness and political sensitivity.Able to influence others with strong relationship management skills, including building and maintaining a range of effective internal and external business relationships and networks, and working with key stakeholders.Experience in managing a co-design or complex iterative consultation process.Experience working in a fast-paced environment where you are required to influence and respond to changing needs and priorities.Well-developed written and oral communication and editing skills.Ability to successfully organise work, prioritise, meet deadlines, maintain accuracy and confidentiality.Analytical thinker who has a flexible attitude that enables them to turn their hand to doing what needs to be done.A team player, willing to contribute as necessary to deliver programme and project outcomes of a high standard, and to drive the increasing maturity of the Ministry's delivery functions.Welcome and value diversity and contribute to an inclusive working environment where differences are acknowledged and respected.A sound understanding of the machinery of government and experience in Te Reo Maori would be advantageous.Ko wai matou/Who we areAt Te Tahu o te Ture - the Ministry of Justice, we're committed to working together for a fair and safe Aotearoa.Joining Te Tahu o te Ture means you will become part of an organisation that welcomes and supports people of all gender identities, ages, ethnicities, sexual orientations, disabilities and religions.The appointing salary for this role is between $128,129 - $166,062 based on skills and experience.
