About the role:
The purpose of the Senior Project Manager role is to drive the development and implementation of a number of projects that support the strategic objectives of NZX and its companies. The role leads and coordinates the members of each project team, taking ownership of the projects and responsibility for delivering these projects on time and within budget.
Some key Responsibilities:
Manage concurrent large projects in terms of requirements, deliverables, dependencies, resource coordination, project reporting, project costings, project risks, project issues, project decisions, scope, objectives and expectations.
Work with the Strategic Programme Director, internal staff and clients to facilitate the seamless delivery of projects.
Work with business sponsors to effectively request and manage change within the Project Management Framework through Business Cases ensuring projects align to the strategic direction of the organisation.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans while tracking and reporting on project progress against them.
Work with the Executive and Senior Leadership Team members through regular, accurate, summarised reporting to maintain an informed and responsive escalation path.
Be the go-to point of contact for business team leaders from all business areas to raise their ideas on process improvement opportunities.
About you
To be successful in this role you'll have:
Minimum 7yrs working experience in projects, including utilising traditional 'waterfall', Lean and Agile approaches.
Experience managing stakeholder expectation and building trust relationships.
Experience seeking business process improvements and implementing solutions to generate business value.
Experience in Financial Services, Banking or Insurance would be advantageous.
NZ Resident/Citizen or valid work visa essential.
