Mercury operates 5 Geothermal Power Stations all located within a 1 hour drive from Rotorua and Taupo. In the fleet we manage over 100 geothermal wells. In this role you'll support the delivery of geothermal well interventions and new well construction by ensuring projects are set up for success including building teams, developing clear procurement strategies and implementing active risk management. This setup will allow the new wells and well interventions to be delivered safely in appropriate timeframes and within budget to the required standard following policies, procedures and best practises. You'll be involved in building new renewable generation, shifting the dial to lower New Zealand's carbon emissions as we strongly support and play a leading role in New Zealand's successful transition to a low carbon economy.
This role has a combination of office based and on-site work based in Rotorua while also utilising our flexible hybrid working environment. The Mercury team within Rotorua embraces the outdoor lifestyle with mountain biking, trail running, fishing, kayaking, hunting and tramping all on the doorstep.
