With at least five years of experience under your belt, you'll bring your expertise in development consenting to help our clients navigate the planning process.

What You'll Do • Provide expert planning advice and strategic input on a wide range of projects throughout New Zealand
• Work with clients from initial concept stages through to project completion, ensuring all planning processes are effectively managed
• Prepare and manage resource consent applications, including liaising with clients, consultants, councils, and stakeholders
• Processing resource consent applications on behalf of local government clients
• Contribute to the ongoing growth and success of Hayson Knell by developing client relationships and identifying new business opportunities
What We're Looking For • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a planning role, with consultancy experience strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of New Zealand's planning framework and legislation
• Proven experience in preparing and processing resource consent applications
• Excellent project management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to clients, councils, and stakeholders
• A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving
