This includes the planning, resourcing, and coordination from end to end, whilst ensuring we achieve and exceed all targets, including safety standards, quality standards, budgets, programme, and project objectives.This role will be based in Christchurch; however, you may need to travel to other projects throughout NZ.On a day-to-day basis, you'll be responsible for:Developing construction plans and documentationManaging the construction team and sub-contractorsPlanning the execution of the works and developing construction methodology for all elements of the worksProviding a monthly forecast of cost to complete to the Commercial Manager, and an estimate of the work completed in terms of percentages complete to the plannerOptimizing the use of material, plant, and labourReporting progress and performance to the engineering managerMaintaining a safe and tidy site, assisting in the development of management systems, and ensuring compliance within your teamUndertaking regular inspections to ensure that safety, environmental, and quality standards are achieved across the project.What we're looking for:This role will require a tertiary qualified Civil Engineer with at least 10 years + post-graduate experience, offering a depth of delivery expertise in a range of civil construction projects.We are also looking for these key skills:Design input: must be able to work alongside design teams reviewing and providing design input, constructability input, facilitating specialists into the design.Programme Management & Continuous Improvement: key to the success of the project is driving programme; the PM will need to work alongside the design team and continuously drive programme deliverables and look for opportunities for improvement.Multi-Disciplines: must have the ability to manage multi-disciplined teams from earthworks/drainage, structures, mechanical/electrical/process, ground improvements, building works, etc.Stakeholder Management: the PM will be key in managing stakeholder relations; constant communication is key to success.Cost estimation: must have the ability to manage continuous cost.Experience managing a range of NZS Contract types: Lump Sum & Cost Reimbursable.All successful candidates must undergo and pass a pre-employment medical and drug screen prior to employment.We celebrate and embrace diversity across our business and are committed to equal employment opportunities.
