Senior People Adviser at Ara Poutama Aotearoa (Department of Corrections), WaikatoAt Ara Poutama there is only one purpose to our work: the wellness and wellbeing of people.
This is an opportunity to make a difference for people who are keeping our communities safe every day.Nga kawenga | About the roleThe position is in a team with four other Senior People Advisors, a Senior ER Specialist and a Senior Adviser Inclusion and Diversity.
Our team supports the Waikato, Bay of Plenty, and East Coast regions and is based in the Hamilton office.Currently, the role is heavily ER based but we're on a mission to move towards more of a business partnering approach and are always seeking opportunities for proactive partnering across all people-related topics.
You will be working with General Managers and key leaders in either our Pae Ora (health) space or Springhill prison to advise on and deliver people initiatives to achieve success.You'll be part of a very supportive team who are unified in our direction and have the support and backing from the People, Practice and Capability leadership team.
We are a friendly and inclusive team that supports each other and loves to collaborate and share ideas and knowledge.We're looking for a HR generalist with solid ER experience who can build strong relationships, has honed their ability to positively influence key stakeholders, and understands what good business partnering looks like.
You would have either had experience as a HR Business Partner or Senior People Advisor or be ready to step up from a People Advisor role.You will be a person who:proactively looks for ways to influence and make change happenbuilds trust and rapportenjoys a challengeis reliable and responsive to stakeholdersFlexibility for some travel is required, and a full, clean driver's licence is essential.The salary band for this role is between $101,162 to $142,816.
