As a Senior Risk Manager, reporting to the Head of Risk Operations, you will combine strategy and thought leadership in this first-line risk role. Lead a small team of experts to deliver Operational Risk and Compliance for our support divisions, including Legal, Risk, People, Purpose & Brand, and Finance, and play an active role in supporting the Crisis Management team to deliver on their mandates. Additionally, you will coordinate Kiwibank's Corporate Insurance Programme. In this role, you will work closely with Executives to manage their risk profiles and provide coaching and guidance to GMs and Heads of Departments on effective risk management practices and the establishment of appropriate controls. You will also be involved in driving initiatives to uplift risk maturity and respond to regulatory changes. This is us. Where your expertise matters. Demonstrate experience in developing and leading high performing teams. Hands-on experience in a crisis management team role. Experience in line one risk management, ideally within the banking or financial services industry. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and effectively communicate complex concepts to senior stakeholders and external contacts. Proficiency with formal report writing for executives and boards. Experience in designing and identifying controls, improving processes and designing controls testing programmes.
