Are you an extraordinary Payroll Pro with the hunger to learn more and constantly evolve? We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our in-house payroll function which is part of our payroll team. It's a busy hands-on role within a close-knit Payroll team who are responsible for the fortnightly pay run for approximately 850 employees but it's so much more than that.
Collaborate and support to deliver a seamless end-to-end payroll process including PAYE obligations
Respond to any payroll queries from internal and external stakeholders
Process IRD reconciliations, payday filing and ad-hoc manual calculation in payroll where the data needs to be corrected
Get involved in any projects as they arise
Processing reconciliation of final pays ensuring calculations, allowances and deductions are correct
Work collaboratively with other functional areas both within and external to the People and Culture Team
Use your natural initiative to look for opportunities to challenge the status quo and improve the payroll life cycle with the customer experience front of mind.

Being a payroll expert is a must for this role, but you are so much more than that. Bring your curiosity and desire to do things better, simpler and more efficiently to this role as you'll have the opportunity to get involved in some interesting and chunky pieces of work both in and outside of payroll:
3 - 5+ years' experience of hands-on payroll experience
Experience with SAP/SuccessFactors is preferred but not essential
Sound understanding and demonstrated knowledge of payroll related legislation including but not limited to the Holidays Act, the Wages Protection Act and the Privacy Act
Great attention to detail and the ability to manually reconcile payroll results and problem solve on difficult tasks
A deep care about amazing experiences whether that's our people leaders, employees, suppliers etc.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
A hunger to learn, can work independently and look for innovative ways to self-teach when required
You're tech savvy, a whiz on excel and see technology as an enabler to do things better, simpler and faster
