SENIOR MICROBIOLOGY AND PROCESS TECHNICIAN Fixed Term Opportunity until October 2024 Microbiology Lab | Auckland The Pitch We're excited to invite you to join our Quality Assurance team as a Senior Microbiology and Process Technician in our microbiology laboratory in Mount Wellington. The Role The core functions of the role are to assist in the daily operation of our Quality Assurance department. Your key responsibilities will include: Conducting sample testing accurately and efficiently to meet our timelines. Performing microbiology analysis and reporting findings. Strictly adhering to all laboratory and regulatory quality assurance procedures. Keeping all relevant records up to date and organized. Maintaining a clean and tidy work area to promote a safe environment. Sharing your hygiene knowledge with production personnel to enhance our practices. Actively participating in safety initiatives and improvement activities. Managing the ordering and invoicing of all microbiology supplies. What do I need? To thrive in this role, we'd love to see that you have: A tertiary qualification in Microbiology or Science, or at least 3 years of experience working in a microbiology lab, showcasing your understanding of advanced microbiology principles. Working experience in a Microbiology Laboratory. A team player with the ability to stay focused while handling repetitive tasks and adapting to changing priorities. Exceptional attention to detail and excellent time management skills. A knack for taking initiative and working in a fair and responsible manner. Clear and effective communication skills that foster collaboration across multiple teams. Being able to trend and translate results in a timely manner. Confidence in using computer systems and it is an advantage if you have used Lab systems (LIMS). Following all customer requirements and being able to review and implement changes as they come through. Being able to guide the rest of the micro technicians. A driver's license and reliable transportation.
