About the role | Mo Te Turanga
We are an award-winning council for Climate Adaptation planning, and we are looking for an experienced Planner to lead our climate change adaptation work programme.
In this role, you will:
Work with communities to adopt and implement their coastal adaptation plans.
Engage with our communities about proactive relocation options.
Proactively communicate, inform, and engage with our communities and key stakeholders on climate change related issues.
Develop and review key strategic planning documents.
Keep up to date with climate change research, trends, and policies.

Experience in community engagement for high profile projects.
Natural communication and leadership skills, comfortable engaging with groups.
Strong project management and organisational skills.
Strategic thinking and critical evaluation skills.
