With offices in Kawerau, Hamilton, Nelson, and Christchurch, MEL is in high growth mode with a strong pipeline of industrial projects throughout New Zealand.MEL provides tailored solutions throughout the project lifecycle, with a true focus on creating a supportive environment with employee recognition, along with ongoing training, development, and career opportunities as core to their ethos.The RoleBased at the Christchurch office, you will split your time between the office and various client sites, overseeing engineering activities ranging from feasibility to implementation on-site. Reporting to the South Island Manager, your responsibilities will split between design and delivery. No two days will be the same as you drive multiple industrial projects from early stages through to completion, all while spending time "on the tools" controlling the design and analysis required for the engineering phases of these projects.About YouThis hybrid Project Manager/Mechanical Engineer role will allow an engineering all-rounder to thrive. Coming from an industrial background, you'll hold a relevant tertiary qualification and experience in front-end feasibility and cost estimating, preliminary and detailed design, construction management, and commissioning.As a self-starter, your ability to work autonomously to solve a range of complex problems, along with your engineering delivery experience, will be valuable to our clients.
