An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Transaction specialist to join a leading consulting firm as they expand their Tax presence across the New Zealand market.Our client is seeking experienced Tax Manager/Senior Manager to join their Transaction Tax team.Key Responsibilities:You will be responsible for mentoring junior tax professionals. This involves offering guidance on technical and client-related matters, providing training opportunities, and ensuring that your team delivers exceptional service to clients in the transaction sector.Keeping up to date with changes in the tax laws and regulations in line with Transaction tax.Conducting research into complex tax issues surrounding transactions. This research will inform the tax opinions and strategies you provide, ensuring they are well-founded, legally compliant, and actionable for clients.Advising clients on specific tax implications, applying an understanding of legislation, case law, and financial information.Help clients navigate the tax complexities of mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings.Cooperation with other teams within the firm to deliver comprehensive solutions for clients.Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.Developing and continuing strong relationships with clients by acting as a confident advisor.Delivering communication and advice in a timely and effective manner.You will help develop and refine best practices to improve efficiency, accuracy, and service delivery, contributing to the overall success and reputation of the firm.Ideal Candidate:Prior tax compliance & advisory experience within a CA firm, preferably Big 4 or mid-tier firm would be ideal.Between 5 - 7 years' experience in Tax advisory roles.Strong communication, client and stakeholder management experience.Past experience in coaching and managing a team of direct reports.You could be an experienced Tax professional currently looking for that step towards more advisory based work, or someone looking to move from a commercial tax environment into practice.Experience in tax legislation and case law.CA/CPA qualified, and looking to remain long term in the professional service industry.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.The firm believes in an open-door policy and offers a strong and collaborative work environment which emphasizes teamwork, support, and an engaging and social work environment.To discuss this role (and other opportunities within the Tax and advisory market), please get in touch for a confidential discussion:Harry Dev ****** 048 4824John ****** 700 2361
