Based at the Yaqara, Fiji production facility, this is a key leadership role tasked with overseeing and enhancing the quality and food safety operations across the site. You will lead strategic initiatives, ensuring all processes align with regulatory standards while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.Key accountabilities will include:Develop a high performing quality team and work culture, building individual and organisational capabilities.Develop and deliver training programs to enhance quality awareness and competency of the team.Lead, implement and ensure that the Quality & Environmental Management system adheres to all relevant standards (SQF, ISO 9000/14000, NSF, ISO 17025, FDA, Halal, Kosher and others).Drive improvements in GMP, food safety and overall compliance to required standards.Be the site's HACCP Team Leader.Lead and monitor initiatives to improve quality performance in the plant, from incoming goods, through to production processes, finished goods and transit to the customer.Develop strategies and methodology to ensure all in-process checks and quality control activities are adhered to.Manage the QA, Hygiene and Supplier compliance function.Carry out and/or manage Quality, Regulatory, Food Safety and Supplier audits.What are we looking for?The right person will have a proven track record of leadership and building collaborative teams resulting in quality effectiveness. You have proven your effectiveness working in a high energy, multi-cultural environment, and value teamwork, continuous improvement and integrity. We seek a can-do individual who can offer solutions to issues, and the personality to inspire change.We are looking for:A relevant tertiary qualification in Microbiology / Food Science or a related subject.A minimum of 5 years senior-level experience in quality management within the food and beverage sector. Experience in bottling, high speed PET packaging or injection moulding will be highly regarded.A proven record managing and effectively leading a quality team.Experience managing internal and 3rd party audits. Lead auditor qualifications will be highly regarded.Strong understanding of HACCP and Food Safety.Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to influence all levels of employees and external partners.A positive, willing attitude, personal resilience and resourcefulness. You are able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising on quality.Demonstrated success as an adaptable leader within culturally diverse environments.
