Senior Quality Inspector

What to expect:
This is a contract Senior Quality Inspector position with openings on the first shift and second shift . Full-time duration is estimated for 3 months. You will be part of an inspection team assuring the quality of components and assemblies.
What you'll do:
Conduct visual and dimensional inspections and paperwork verification of precision machined parts/components.
Perform inspections at various client-supplier sites (as required) for in-process and final source inspection of mechanical parts.
Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, including GD&T, based on industry and commodity standards.
What you'll need:
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on inspection experience as part of a quality unit.
Strong experience inspecting precision machined parts.
Proficiency in the use of various inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges, etc.
Thorough understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
US Citizenship is required, and background checks will be conducted.
Note:
Mechanical inspectors at this level should be capable of validating dimensions (total tolerances >/=.005") using standard hand tools. CMM programming experience is a plus.
