No two days are the same.We spoke with the Head of Product Governance & Assurance (who you'd report to), and he gave us some great insight on what to expect with this turanga (role):Main ResponsibilitiesWork with big data to interpret and draw insights that drive organisational wide strategic and tactical decisionsReport writing for committees and the BoardProvide oversight, review and challenge of product governance activities;Monitor the risk of customer detriment associated with products;Help support BNZ meet its product governance responsibilities (including the fair design of, and change to, products);Support strategic programmes of work to represent product governance and good kiritaki (customer) outcomes; andMaintain a robust framework of controls and testing around Product Governance.Success IndicatorsProduction of credible insightful analysis and recommendations to address thematic weaknesses or opportunities100% ownership of a key governance programmeSmooth and optimised operationalisation of the governance programme.Leadership of a team that specialises in data, workflows and governanceRequired AttributesWe are looking for someone with exposure to risk and compliance (5 years or more), who understands the business of banking, is a solid report writer with previous experience engaging with senior stakeholders. You will also be able to own the end-to-end governance programme framework, be confident to challenge as well as being a collaborative, organised individual.Team CultureYou'll be part of a fantastic tima (team), highly engaged and hardworking.
