Mo te turanga - About the roleAs a Senior Manager Financial Crime in our Financial Crime Advisory team, you'll play a key role in developing ANZ NZ's Financial Crime capability, as well as ensuring its activities are compliant with ANZ Group and the external regulatory environment.
The role provides expert advice on a range of financial crime matters and assists in overseeing ANZ's Financial Crime programme.

- What will your day look likeThe Senior Manager Financial Crime will be responsible for providing expert advice to internal stakeholders on AML/CFT and fraud risks and issues, and assessing the financial crime risk in business process changes and projects.
As a Senior Manager Financial Crime, you will:
Consistently deliver financial crime subject matter expertise, advice, and recommendations to business unit managers, project teams, and related stakeholders - while balancing financial crime risk, stakeholder requirements/objectives and business obligations.Manage and advise on day-to-day financial crime processes to ensure compliance with local and international legislative and policy obligations.Provide expert interpretation on all applicable legislation, regulation and supervisory guidance related to financial crime.Work with first line risk teams to drive financial crime education and awareness.Identify trends, risks and issues related to AML/CFT & fraud and escalate them as required.Ou Pukenga?
- What will you bring?To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Experience in a role with financial crime responsibilities, with a strong understanding of the financial crime regulatory landscape.Strong problem-solving skills, confident working in complexity and ambiguity.Good verbal and written communication skills, comfortable influencing and negotiating, and able to convey complex information in an accessible way.Sound attention to detail and demonstrated experience producing high quality outcomes.Ability to build strong, open, and collaborative working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.Good understanding of risk management practices with the ability to interpret and advise on legislation and policy obligations.You're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
