Senior Manager Finance - Treasury Senior Manager Finance - Treasury Location: Wellington or Auckland Time Type: Full time Posted: 8 Days Ago Te turanga – The role The Senior Manager Finance – Treasury is responsible for providing leadership capability within Finance and across the Bank to connect people, systems and operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of treasury accounting and systems capabilities, and providing insightful strategically focused financial reporting to meet the complex needs of Te Putea Matua's stakeholders.
This role oversees, challenges and supports their teams to deliver the operational excellence, resilience and continuous improvement required of the treasury accounting and systems teams to support the Bank's balance sheet management activities in pursuit of its monetary policy and financial stability central banking objectives, engaging and collaborating effectively across the Bank to drive, influence and optimise organisational outcomes.
O pukenga – About you To be successful in this role you'll have: Significant proven leadership experience at a senior level in a financial institution, supervisory authority or central bank.
Strong academic qualifications in financial disciplines, with relevant professional experience in treasury products, systems, treasury accounting, financial risk management and financial reporting.
Strong influencing, communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proven experience in leading, building, developing and enabling high performing, achievement-oriented, collaborative, inclusive and diverse teams and fostering a strong organisational culture.
Familiarity with the practice and theory of monetary policy implementation, domestic markets liquidity management and foreign reserves management in the New Zealand framework, including a comprehensive understanding of the workings of the Bank's financial dynamics.
Sound judgement and the ability to think holistically across a broad range of technical, systems, leadership and people issues.
