As a member of ASB's Financial Crime Operations team, you will drive operational excellence in the way we help protect ASB and its customers from the impact of Financial Crime. You will contribute in a meaningful way to the protection of Aotearoa New Zealand from organised crime, modern slavery, fraud & scams, and other activity which places New Zealand at risk.
We are now looking for a Senior Manager in our Financial Crime Technology, Strategy & Delivery team to be based at North Wharf and join our team on a full-time basis.
In this role, you will be primarily responsible for supporting the Financial Crime Operations leadership team with the development and maintenance of long-term plans for excellence in the bank. This work will involve careful & robust financial analysis, financial management, and operational planning. You will manage a range of key stakeholders and prepare business cases and supporting material to assist senior leaders to assess the performance of, and value delivered by, solutions to validate whether benefits have been achieved.
The outcomes you will be responsible for are:
Managing key stakeholders to plan and prepare supporting material for executive leadership groups, and producing business cases & material for those sessions.Preparing operational and project financial budgets and ensuring costs remain in plan and are accurately forecasted for the reporting period.Reporting on operational outcomes and preparing performance monitoring and outcome analysis against how we are delivering outcomes.Assisting in the development and implementation of commercially viable options to deliver operational efficiency and control enhancement.Supporting the development of long-term strategy plans with senior leaders in Financial Crime Operations.This is an exciting opportunity that allows you to work collaboratively with a range of technology, operational, risk, and finance stakeholders throughout the obligation. It will give you the opportunity to expand your commercial acumen and risk credentials and provide you with frequent opportunities to present in front of senior leaders.
Working as the Senior Manager Financial Crime Operations, you will need to have strong commercial acumen and excellent verbal & written presentation skills. This will require you to produce robust, clear, and detailed decision-making papers to executive leadership teams and senior stakeholders in the business. Along with this, we are ideally looking for someone with the following skills:
Strong credentials in financial accounting, forecasting, variance analysis, operational capacity management, and commercial analysis - ideally a Chartered Accountant.High level of accuracy and an ability to interpret how information fits into a larger context, the details that are important, and how to connect abstract opportunities.Leadership, negotiation, influencing skills, and an ability to navigate through complexity with an agile mindset.High attention to detail and experience with benefit & value reporting.An interest in technology & data, ability to challenge the status quo and self-generation of solutions or ideas.He aha ta matou | What can we offer?
