Corporate Finance & Investment Banking (Banking & Financial Services) Calibre Partners is a leading New Zealand Advisory firm, specialising in Corporate Finance and Restructuring.
Due to increased workflow, the Corporate Finance practice is looking to appoint a Senior Manager.
Responsibilities include: Independent company valuation reports, for a variety of reasons but predominantly to inform share transactions.
Expert opinion evidence for dispute-related work, which can include valuations, financial analysis, investigations and estimating profits in a range of hypothetical scenarios.
Independent adviser's reports, prepared under the Takeovers Code for listed companies that are being acquired – these reports are prepared to assist shareholders voting on the relevant transaction.
Building and reviewing financial forecast models.
In addition to the above, Calibre Partners would expect the successful candidate to receive exposure to the restructuring side of the business.
This would include: Independent appraisals/business reviews (IAs or IBRs).
These are usually reports for businesses going through significant change or encountering financial difficulty.
Sell-side sales processes, including interested party contact/search, preparation of sales materials (Flyers and IMs), financial model review, and running the due diligence process.
Building and reviewing forecast financial models.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes: At least 5-6 years' experience in a wide range of company valuations and financial modelling.
Excellent written communication skills – ideally the person would have a good amount of exposure drafting valuation reports/opinions.
Experience leading and mentoring Analysts.
Either CA or CFA is ideal but not essential.
Restructuring skills would be advantageous but not essential.
