Our Line 2 Compliance team play a leading role in driving great customer outcomes and delivering sustainable compliance across prudential, conduct and wider obligations management including regulatory change. We do this by designing, implementing, and reviewing compliance processes, capabilities and strategies and supporting our Line 1 teams to deliver a consistent approach across ASB.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead and deliver Line 2 Compliance responsibilities under the Compliance Management Framework, including the Obligation Management framework.Oversee and contribute to the development and implementation of continuous process improvement in relation to Obligations Management related processes, in particular Compliance Self-Assessments.Proactively identify and monitor areas of highest risk, providing effective review and challenge where appropriate to ensure ASB maintains a robust control environment and compliance programme across obligations and risk taxonomies.Provide commentary and insights for Line 2 Compliance reporting to management and board risk committees.Support Compliance activity generally which may include specific areas of expertise such as banking conditions, privacy, regulatory changes, conduct risk, etc.Provide leadership, guidance and coaching to a high performing team of specialists.Success in this role will be the ability to work collaboratively across the organisation, with a pragmatic and strategic approach to enable the business to understand, proactively manage and optimise their compliance obligations.
What do I need to be successful?Prior experience within Financial Services, ideally in a Regulatory Risk or Compliance role.Sound financial services regulatory knowledge and awareness of key regulation impacting the banking industry.Highly developed stakeholder management skills with confidence and credibility to engage effectively with, and influence stakeholders across the business.Excellent collaboration and communication skills with experience influencing and driving change.Ability to exercise sound judgment and demonstrate pragmatic problem solving skills.Proven leadership experience with a track record of leading from the front by displaying a positive attitude, high integrity and empathy towards your team and broader stakeholders.Working for ASBIn return, you will work for an organisation that places huge importance and focus on its people, where the sky is the limit for development and career opportunities.
