Job Overview:The Senior Manager of Commercial Broadcasters is responsible for overseeing and developing relationships with commercial broadcasting partners, maximizing revenue opportunities, and ensuring the effective implementation of commercial strategies across various broadcasting platforms.Key Responsibilities:Strategy Development:Develop and implement strategic plans to grow commercial broadcasting revenueIdentify new business opportunities and potential partnerships in the broadcasting sectorRelationship Management:Build and maintain strong relationships with key commercial broadcasters and media partnersServe as the primary point of contact for major broadcasting accountsProactively engage with key broadcasting stakeholders on commercial initiativesRevenue Generation:Achieve revenue targets for commercial broadcasting partnerships that have been setNegotiate contracts and agreements with broadcasters to maximize financial returnsMarket Analysis:Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologiesProvide insights and recommendations to senior leadership based on market analysisReporting and Analytics:Assist Nielsen Operations with analyses of data to support the rollout of key strategic projectsProvide support and guidance to colleagues delivering subscription reporting to the broadcastersCross-functional Collaboration:Work closely with other departments such as Operations, Legal, and FinanceParticipate in cross-functional projects to improve overall business performanceWork closely with relevant platform departments to align on business opportunity and needs as the voice of the broadcastersInnovation:Propose and implement innovative solutions to enhance commercial broadcasting offeringsStay updated on technological advancements in broadcasting and explore their potential applicationsQualifications & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field5+ years of experience in commercial broadcasting, media sales, or related areasProven track record of managing high-value client relationshipsStrong understanding of the NZ broadcasting industry and current market trendsExcellent negotiation and communication skillsAnalytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic decisionsProficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., CRM systems, data analytics platforms)Experience with analyses in Television Audience Measurement data
