Operating two major post-harvest facilities in Te Puna and Te Puke packing kiwifruit and avocados, DMS also manages over 100 kiwifruit and 150 avocado orchards on behalf of its growers. With 30+ seasons under your belt the standard gets set high, and that's why more and more growers refuse to settle for anything less than DMS.As the Senior Management Accountant, you'll report directly to the CFO, providing in-depth financial analysis, strategic insight and reporting to support key business decisions. Working across DMS and its other entities, you'll manage and develop controls to ensure financial information is accurate and up to date and be able to clearly communicate across the business.On top of all the 'typical' financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance etc., you'll also be responsible for managing tax compliance, insurance documentation and renewals and cash flow to ensure we meet operational needs.You'll join our Town office team based in Tauranga central, but will be involved with people across the business. During our main kiwifruit season (March to June) we operate our packhouses 24/7. With this increase in productivity in our operations, the impact although not as significant for our supporting teams, still means that there will be an expectation to work additional hours to meet business needs.About youAs this is a senior level role, a Bachelor's degree in finance and accounting and CAANZ qualified (or equivalent) is required, along with 5+ years of experience in management accounting and 2+ years in a senior role.We'll be looking to you as the 'Excel pro', showing a high level of analytical and problem-solving skills.
