He angitutanga: The opportunity
We currently have two exciting opportunities for someone to join our teams as a Senior Librarian, Community Engagement based at Mt Roskill and Mt Albert Libraries. Some flexibility will be required as you may need to work from other sites in the Albert-Eden-Puketapapa local board (Epsom, Point Chevalier, Mt Roskill & Mount Albert Libraries).
In this senior, customer-focused role, you will be leading and contributing to the day-to-day running of the library and frontline library & council services. You will work closely with the Community Wellbeing network to design and deliver literacy and learning activities and initiatives that target tamariki, rangatahi, and whanau, driven by community need. A key aspect of this role is that you will be a role model and coach in providing excellent customer service to the local community and surrounding areas. You will also help to foster a sense of belonging in our vibrant library spaces.
These are permanent positions working 38 hours per week, Sunday-Thursday. Our libraries are open seven days a week, so flexibility is required around working hours.
