Forte Recruitment – Wellington Central, North IslandThis is an exciting opportunity to join a skilled and passionate team that makes a real difference by helping to resolve complaints about consumer rights in the health sector.About the role:The role of the Senior Legal Counsel is to assist the Commissioner's independent prosecutor to make independent decisions on cases referred by the Commissioner and to take proceedings before the Health Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal, the Human Rights Review Tribunal, and the courts.Working independently, you will need the experience to work with service providers, consumers, witnesses, and other professional bodies in the sector.Using your litigation experience, you will prepare files, charges, submissions, and evidence for Tribunal and Court proceedings. Part of the role is also to undertake research and provide advice and recommendations.About you:Perhaps you are in another regulatory environment seeking change or in private practice looking for a transition that will allow you to use your skills in a different way?
