This is an exciting contract role in the Energy Sector till end of March in the Wellington CBD. It is flexi working. We are hiring for a Senior Java Developer who has worked in C++. This would suit someone who has done C++ component integration with Java Apps.
What you'll do:
Integrate the C++ components with Java applications using JNI.
Debug and optimise existing code to enhance performance and reliability.
Design and build high-quality software that adheres to established development standards.
Collaborate closely with the project team to ensure seamless integration with the SCADA systems.
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables are met on time.
Document technical specifications, code changes, and project updates clearly and concisely.
What you bring:
Strong proficiency in C/C++.
Experience in integrating C++ components with Java applications using JNI.
Experience in building and managing build pipelines.
Knowledge of Git is mandatory.
Familiarity with logging tools such as Elastic Search, Logstash, Grafana/Kibana would be an asset.
Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
