.About the Role | Mo te Turanga
This is a key role within our regional Support office in Christchurch to provide help desk and IT support to the Woolworths New Zealand 74 Franchise supermarkets trading under the Freshchoice Brand. You will ensure Store systems are supported enabling the delivery of secure and reliable IT services, resolving faults and service requests in a timely and effective manner.

As part of a small IT Team, the successful applicant will be passionate about what they do, have outstanding communication skills and have the willingness to go the extra mile for our customers.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Technical and process problem diagnosis and resolution while being a senior for the team members that report into this position.
Training and coaching others both externally and internally to build capability and ensure high-quality customer experience for all users.
Providing backup support/knowledge for other IT responsibilities.
Act as SME for specific IT areas of technical, software and process.
Create software test scripts and implement tests to ensure software changes are as per specifications.
Install updates to technologies/systems and identify their impacts to ensure efficient business operations.
Liaise with internal stakeholders regularly to ensure that their needs are being met and to pre-empt future needs.
Supporting the store POS and Back office systems.
About You | Mou
You'll bring in the IT knowledge of networking, infrastructure and technologies along with your customer focussed and continuous improvement mindset.
To be successful in this position possess the following key skills:
The ability to work to tight deadlines and as such excellent time management skills.
Ability to prioritise and multitask.
Strong technical skills along with analytical and problem-solving skills.
A high level of communication skills both verbal and written.
Ability to suggest improvements to technologies/systems to maximise efficiency and productivity.
The ability to understand and analyse issues or requests from the business and translate them into technical requirements for solution development delivery.
Ability to work in a small team, be flexible and be able to learn and understand multiple systems.
As a function of this role, the successful applicant will be required to be on call on a rotational basis of one week in three and will be paid an allowance.
