Senior Investment Analyst | Private Markets This Auckland based private markets investment team invests in and manages unlisted assets across the private equity, infrastructure and property sectors. The team is well established and comprises experienced investment professionals, with a depth of experience in local and international markets.
The position:
The position - Senior Analyst, has been created to support the fund's investment responsibilities and capabilities, across the investment lifecycle. At a high level this includes the:
Assessment and execution of new to fund opportunities
Assist the team with private market portfolio management duties
Development and management of market, peer fund and advisor relationships
More specifically, the appointed Senior Analyst will take responsibility for:
Creating, updating and analysing financial and valuation models
Playing a key role in the due diligence, structuring, negotiating and transaction process
Performing detailed industry, sector and company research, to identify themes and trends
Portfolio review, management and reporting, including reviewing and supporting portfolio strategy, performance and day to day monitoring of portfolio investments
Development of individual and fund origination capabilities, via the building of networks and links to prospective investment partners

Specific experience and capabilities sought:
Ideally, you have spent 3-5 years in financial services / professional services, including investment management, investment banking, Big Four corporate finance, corporate–institutional banking or comparable industries
You demonstrate strong analytical capabilities, including financial modelling and qualitative research and analysis, coupled with strong commercial logic, judgment and perspective
You are able to structure and communicate your analysis and thinking in a clear and thoughtful manner
