Outline Design is a well-established interior design company based in Parnell, Auckland. Our team of designers have years of experience creating innovative and functional interior spaces for our clients. We work across all sectors including commercial and residential design projects that reflect our client's unique styles and needs.We are looking for a Senior Interior Designer/Design Director to join the team, commencing in January 2025. The ideal candidate will have circa 7 years of experience in the interior design industry, with a passion for design and a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects.In addition to a strong interior design background, you'll have a strategic mindset, excel in relationship and stakeholder management, and be highly process-driven with the ability to refine systems as needed.At the senior level, you'll confidently present solutions to clients, craft compelling proposals, and ensure client strategies are executed effectively.This role will be part of the senior leadership team, contributing to the commercial outcomes of the business. Over time, or from the outset, there's the potential to become a shareholder and assume partial ownership of the business.If you're looking to be part of a well-renowned boutique interior design studio and have the business and fiscal acumen to take on greater responsibilities, we would love to hear from you.Responsibilities:Participate in all phases of the interior design process, including programming, concept design, space planning, schematic design, design development, and construction documentation.Create design concepts and presentations that effectively communicate the design vision and goals to clients and project stakeholders.Develop detailed construction drawings, specifications, and schedules for all design aspects, including furniture, lighting, finishes, and equipment.Coordinate with project consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure the design intent is achieved throughout the construction process.Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members, including delegating tasks, reviewing work, and providing feedback and guidance.Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.Requirements:Circa 7 years of experience in the interior design industryHold NZ residencyA degree or diploma in interior design or a related fieldProficiency in ArchiCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Xero, Excel and Microsoft OfficePreparation of space plans, joinery items and plans for BC submissions and constructionGreat initiativeAttention to detail and ability to work under pressureA portfolio that demonstrates strong design skills and experience in delivering successful projectsStrong design and visualisation skills, including the ability to create detailed drawings and rendersExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively with clients, consultants, and team members.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise tasks effectively.Knowledge of New Zealand building codes, regulations, and standardsAlways eager to learnWe offer a competitive salary package based on experience and a supportive work environment.
