This is an exciting 12 month contract opportunity for a Senior Information Security Advisor, ideally you will be strong in technical security, focusing on AWS and Azure cloud security and strong in C&A. The role is part of a significant work programme that requires expert information security and privacy advice. The successful candidates will be instrumental in ensuring the integrity and availability of the organisation's technology infrastructure and applications.You will be based in the Wellington CBD and our client does 2-3 days working from home if you wish. You will be working in an awesome team with permanent and contract staff.What You'll DoAs a Senior Information Security Advisor, your role will be pivotal in providing expert knowledge and advice on all matters relating to information security and the cloud. You will play a key role in designing and implementing risk management strategies and developing and maintaining relevant policies, standards, frameworks, and processes that align with the Information Group's functional activities. You will support in maintaining the operations of the Information Group while providing guidance on managing information security requests and breaches.Provide expert information security knowledge and accurate, timely technical advice.Contribute to the design and implementation of information security risk and assurance activities.Provide information security guidance and quality assurance on the management of information security requests and breaches.Work collaboratively alongside other team members to ensure the delivery of the Information Group's functional activities.What You BringAs a Senior Information Security Advisor, you bring a wealth of experience from your background in Information Security or Information Technology. Your qualifications are complemented by your deep understanding of Cloud security, specifically your experience supporting businesses transitioning from on-prem technologies to cloud-based solutions. Your expertise extends to managing hybrid multi-cloud environments with a focus on AWS and Azure. You have worked with Voice/Contact Centre solutions in the cloud such as Genesys and are proficient in Microsoft 365 security. Your understanding of Identity and Access Management is robust, and you have a comprehensive knowledge of relevant statutes, rules, regulations, and compliance obligations pertaining to information security. Your excellent communication and relationship management skills enable you to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Relevant tertiary and industry qualification (e.g., CISSP) with at least 5 years' experience in Information Security or Information Technology.In-depth experience in Cloud security.Experience in supporting business transition to cloud from on-prem technologies.Experience with managing a hybrid multi-cloud environment (with a focus on AWS and Azure).Knowledge of Voice/Contact Centre in the cloud (Genesys).Proficiency in Microsoft 365 security.Strong C&A experience.Understanding of Identity and Access management.Excellent knowledge of relevant statutes, rules, regulations, compliance obligations pertaining to information security.Excellent communication and relationship management skills.What Sets This Company ApartOur client is a leading organisation with a commitment to excellence and innovation.
