We have a great opportunity for a Senior HR Advisor based in Queenstown, to be the first point of contact for the local management team. You'll be responsible for providing a high level of service and support and proactively working with managers ensuring they are able to deliver their people management accountabilities effectively. We are aware of the challenges with accommodation in Queenstown, so the ideal candidate will already be living in the Queenstown district and understands the local challenges.
The salary band for a Senior HR Advisor goes from $115,536 to $161,412 with the mid-range being $141,751. Starting salaries will be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, and relativities both, within the immediate team and in the broader Authority for the same or similar roles. We anticipate this will be around the mid-range for the role.
What You'll Bring
We are interested in hearing from experienced practitioners who are excellent communicators, demonstrate a customer centric approach and can coach and guide managers along their HR people management journey. Ideally you will have gained:
Significant HR experience in a complex environment
A tertiary qualification with emphasis in human resource management and/or employee relations and/or organisational psychology
Effective relationships and stakeholder management skills
Excellent problem-solving skills and confident decision-making capabilities
A pragmatic, flexible and adaptable approach
Knowledge and experience of Employment Relations
Whist the position is based in Queenstown, there will be travel required to Invercargill and Wellington on a regular basis.
