Te tIma | The team: At Parliamentary Service, we work at the heart of democracy to provide excellent service to New Zealand's Members of Parliament.
If there is one thing that we pride ourselves on above all else, it is our people, who are literally world-class.
To support these wonderful people who lead and shape New Zealand's democracy, is the Parliamentary Service and Office of the Clerk.
As a core function of this support is our highly motivated HR team comprising of the Partnering & Advisory team, Payroll, Talent, Organisational Development, Systems and Data Reporting.

These values support our vision which is to have the best people supporting the best parliament in the world.
Mo te tunga | About the role: This role is not your typical senior level HR Advisor role as our environment and customers are pretty unique!
You'll be providing high-level HR advisory services across Parliamentary Service (PS) and Office of the Clerk of the House of Representatives (OOC), including tier 3, 4, and 5 leaders.
As we move to a true partnering model, you will have the chance to deliver on people projects that are normally in the Organisational Design space in larger organisations, and you will have a business improvement focus as well.
Plus, you will be working with another Senior HR Advisor, HR Advisor, two Coordinators, and Business Partners - and together you will be part of our supportive, fun, and high-performing team making an impact for our people.
To kete | What you will bring to the role: We're not really fussed about whether you come from the public or private sector (our team is a mix); we're motivated to hear from senior level generalist HR Advisors with a track record in providing pragmatic advice and a shared passion for providing an exceptional customer experience.
You could be our new Senior HR Advisor if you have: Demonstrable HR advisory experience at a senior level.
High proficiency in advising on HR/ER/IR policy and legislation.
Prior experience in change management and organisational restructuring.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion and professionalism.
Comfortable working with a broad range of stakeholders and managing multiple customer groups.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to managing and resolving HR challenges.
Ability to manage workload with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines and ensure accuracy.
