Senior Governance Advisor

Join a pivotal team in Central Wellington. This role provides a unique opportunity to influence key governance practices within an organisation dedicated to improving the lives of New Zealanders. As part of a small but highly influential branch, you'll contribute to strategic oversight, risk, assurance, and operational excellence.
What You'll Do
Provide stewardship and support delivery of the governance system for the Department
Work alongside senior leaders and lead through influence rather than authority to achieve results
Perform advisory and support functions, including working with Chairs and Deputy Chairs to develop committee work programmes
Compile agendas, minute meetings, and engage across the organisation in support of our governance committees
Support the continuous improvement of the system, recommending and implementing enhancements
Integrate and work with Tier 2 and Tier 3 Executive leaders
