The Role:
We have an exciting opportunity within our Whanganui business for an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer / Engineering Geologist to join our established team.
You will be responsible for providing professional consulting services to our clients across Manawatu-Whanganui and Taranaki. Alongside the existing local team you will provide technical advice and the effective management of clients and projects at a senior level.
WSP has 40 staff in Whanganui covering a range of disciplines that are fundamental to the delivery of our clients projects. Our office is centrally located and our team and their families enjoy all the advantanges of living in regional New Zealand.
About You:
Relevant tertiary qualification
Preferably minimum of 5 years' professional experience in a related discipline
Technical proficiency in geotechnical engineering (soil and rock mechanics) or engineering geology
Experience with report writing, preparing expressions of interest, pre-qualifications and project proposals/bids
Confident developing relationships with clients and identifying market opportunities
Proficient in Windows, MS Word/Excel and other Microsoft Office applications, CAD based software, Geoslope software, Rocscience software or other geotechnical design packages
