Korero mo te Turanga - About the Role
As a Senior Geospatial Analyst, you will be part of the Geospatial team within the wider Data & Information group as part of our Business Technology & Information Services directorate. Your primary responsibility will be to administer the Geospatial platform and manage our core Geospatial data assets.
In addition to managing the platform and data, our Geospatial team supports access, sourcing, management, and the use of geospatial data. The team develops data standards, frameworks, and builds the structures which hold our geospatial data. You will source, prepare, and transform data to make it useful to MPI staff, as well as assess its compliance with our standards and address any gaps.
Mou - About You
To be successful in this role, you will have proven experience delivering geospatial products and an understanding of the product life cycle. Ideally, you will have advanced skills in ArcGIS (Desktop, Enterprise, and Online) and FME (Flow and Form) software. As a senior member of the team, you will be able to coach and mentor other team members and have knowledge of strategic and business planning processes.
Importantly, you will have a strong customer focus and be comfortable liaising with stakeholders at all levels, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively to explain concepts, elicit information, and influence stakeholders as required.

Low level Security Clearance required. Most preferably a New Zealand citizen, who has resided continuously in New Zealand for at least the last five (5) years, OR is a citizen of, and/or has resided continuously in one or more of the following countries for the last five (5) years: either Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom (UK), or the United States of America (USA); and has a background history that is verifiable and can be assessed as appropriate by the New Zealand Security Intelligence Service (NZSIS) towards a recommendation of suitability for a security clearance at this level.
