Senior Financial Planning Analyst (Contract)

The Opportunity
This is an exciting role for a commercial minded individual that is driven by doing purposeful work and supporting outcomes of a team that are passionate about their customers over a 6 – 8 month period.

Working closely with a national finance function, this role will see you supporting senior leaders, ensuring that financial activities are aligned with operational strategies, providing you an opportunity to directly influence outcomes.

You will also play a role in supporting the current commercial finance function, supporting questions, business cases, and how they effectively interpret information in a meaningful way to the business, offering you a great chance to demonstrate your knowledge and ability to quickly get up to speed with the organisational needs.

The Profile
Provide leadership for the financial planning processes, ensuring that outcomes are aligned with the wider organisational strategy.
Utilising the available data to provide meaningful insights and recommendations to stakeholders, supporting the commercial decision-making processes.
Be a leading voice in conversation for change and transformation, encouraging and challenging the business on opportunities for improvement where required.
Seek to review and enhance the financial reporting processes and provide financial analysis and insights to the business.
Take an active lead in the budgeting and reforecasting processes.

Your Profile
Experienced Management Accountant or Finance Business partner who has a strong business facing background, providing insights to stakeholders.
Confident working with large sets of financial data, with the ability to quickly interpret complex sets of information.
Capable of identifying and implementing improvements in performance reporting and the budgeting and reforecasting space.
Preferably CA, CPA or CIMA qualified, however this is not a critical requirement of the role so those with relevant experience are still encouraged to apply.
Be based in Christchurch and happy being based in the office for at least 4 days per week.
Hold full, unrestricted working rights for New Zealand – due to the nature of this role, those without working rights won't be considered.
