Analysis & Reporting (Banking & Financial Services)Full timeCompetitive salary + bonus and 10% superannuationHybrid role + centrally located offices in Britomart + WFH availableDevelop your career with Westpac!As Senior Financial Analyst in our Treasury team, you will provide support to Westpac New Zealand (WNZL) Finance and will assist in delivering, analysing, and understanding the financial results of the WNZL, Westpac Banking Corporation ("WBC") NZ Branch and WBC NZ Geography Treasury functions, together with the results of the NZ Banking division.You will support the Head of Treasury Finance to interrogate, understand, analyse and report the day to day and monthly financial outcomes for each of the Treasury activities undertaken. There will be opportunities to contribute to bank wide projects, implement changes and improve current processes to achieve efficiencies and productivity gains for the team.Key responsibilities include:Daily control, analysis and reporting activities, including loan & deposit movements, balance sheet movements, profit and loss analysis, liability monitoring and NZ inter-entity cash positions.Month-end close tasks, such as core reconciliations, trade review, manual journals, capture and analysis of market data.Monthly preparation of detailed analysis and reporting, including exposure to core balance sheet reporting on funding and liquidity, securitisation, hedging positions and hedge accounting.Preparing the required deliverables to other areas of the finance team, including the external reporting team for Disclosure Statements, Group reporting and regulatory reporting team.Generating and presenting financial results to senior management with clear explanations on movements, key drivers and trends that have influenced results.
