Senior Financial Accountant

What you would be doing The Senior Financial Accountant reports into the Financial Controller and sits alongside a team of like-minded professionals. The role's objective is to provide guidance on complex reporting, insights, and advisory on financial outcomes for a variety of different workflows that take place within the organisation. This role will provide in-depth advice on the company's adherence to various accounting standards, cash flow reporting, and month-end processes. You will be expected to do the following: Ongoing analysis on management reports for SLT External reporting to various stakeholders within the public sector Balance sheet reconciliations / statements / cash flow monitoring and actuals GST / FBT & income tax processing and compliance Who are we looking for? I'm on the lookout for anyone who has demonstrated experience as a Senior Financial Accountant who has had exposure to the infrastructure industry or local government. Ideally, you will have strong knowledge of various accounting standards and you'll be open to starting a new and exciting opportunity in Petone. Ideally, you will have: CA or CPA certification Over 5 years of financial accounting experience Exposure to local government accounting environments would be beneficial Recent experience with Technology One or a similar FMIS Great relationship management abilities Strong verbal and written communication skills What's next?
