We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Financial Accountant to join our team.
In this role, you will report directly to the Financial Analysis & Reporting Manager and play a crucial part in ensuring the timely and accurate execution of month-end, quarterly, and annual financial reporting requirements.
Your work will support the management, Board, and external stakeholders, contributing to our organization's financial transparency and decision-making processes.
In this role, you will adopt an internal customer-centric approach, collaborating closely with various departments to understand their needs and provide tailored financial insights and support.
Your ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships within Watercare will be key to driving financial performance and ensuring all stakeholders have the information they need to make informed decisions.
This includes: Preparing monthly management reports, including balance sheet, P&L, cash flow Coordinating external reporting processes.
Analysing performance issues and opportunities for improvement.
Forecasting of balance sheets and cashflow.
Coordinating half year and year end audit.
Completing month end journals.
Providing technical accounting expertise.
Review and prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
Preparation of FBT, R&D and income tax returns.

You will have highly developed analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and adaptable communication skills.
