We are one of the first life insurers globally to operate in an entirely Enterprise Agile environment and have a contemporary 100% cloud-based technology offering.The OpportunityWe are looking for a Senior Finance Manager to join our team to support business integration and establishment of shared service to provide support across multiple entities and jurisdictions. The Senior Finance Manager will be supporting various aspects of the business integration plan. You will work closely with the Finance Lead of the integration project, Chapter Area Lead, CFO, and the business unit leaders to ensure a smooth and successful integration. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a strategic growth initiative and to gain exposure to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.This role will also be accountable for establishing finance operations shared service function and ensuring processes and control are robust. Business scope may include money in and money out, cashflow management, banking administration, unit pricing checks, and any other shared service management. For each of the defined finance operations, processes and controls need to be defined and operated effectively within Resolution Life's risk appetite.This role offers a permanent contract and embraces flexible working arrangements. You'll have the freedom to work remotely, with occasional office attendance required on an ad hoc basis, ensuring a harmonious balance between business needs and personal flexibility.Your StoryRLA has adopted agile ways of working, providing a flexible environment for individuals to make a significant contribution to our success through the application of their skill and experience. To thrive in this environment ideally a candidate has the following attributes:Support the business integration process, area may include finance operations (money in and money out), payroll accounting, cash management, unit pricing, investment accounting, banking administration, and any other shared service management.Coordinate and collaborate with the Finance Lead and the business unit leaders on the business integration strategy, objectives, and priorities.Identify and implement best practices, process improvements, and system enhancements to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance operations function.Ensure that the design and execution of financial operations activities complies within the RLA risk appetite, meeting regulatory requirements and internal policies.Manage and develop a team of finance operations professionals, onshore and offshore, and provide coaching and guidance on their career development.Monitor and report on the health of finance operations matrix and provide insights and recommendations to senior management for ongoing improvements.Experience and Skills requiredBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred.At least 10 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or audit, preferably in a financial service (Life Insurance) and complex organization.Expert knowledge of the financial reporting cycle, accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal control best practices for the Australia and New Zealand business.At least 5 years of work experience in a managerial role.Experience in mergers and acquisitions, in particular, business integration.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.Proficient in Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and financial modelling tools.High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards.Critical SkillsAt Resolution Life, we have identified the following critical skills which are key to success in our culture:Customer Focused: Passionate drive to delight our customers and offer unique solutions that deliver on their expectations.Critical Thinking: Thoughtful process of analysing data and problem-solving data to reach a well-reasoned solution.Team Mentality: Partnering effectively to drive our culture and execute on our common goals.Business Acumen: Appreciation and understanding of the financial services industry in order to make sound business decisions.Learning Agility: Openness to new ways of thinking and acquiring new skills to retain a competitive advantage.What Will We Do For You:Our culture underpins our values and guides our decision making.
