Would you like to be a part of creating special event experiences for the Tauranga Community? Then we have the role for you!We have a 6-month, fixed term opportunity to join our small (but mighty) Event Delivery team. As the Senior Event Delivery Coordinator, you will lead on our Childrens Day event, support the Event Delivery Lead on our New Years Eve Community Events, Anzac Day and a number of other events we deliver for our community, including important civic events. You will play a key role in helping create opportunities for our community to come together and enjoy shared experiences.This role includes:Development and delivery of a portfolio of council-led community events e.g.: Childrens DaySupporting the delivery of key civic eventsDelivery of event industry workshopsIf you love events, are ready to hit the ground running and enjoy working at pace and have a great ability to prioritise, then this is the opportunity for you.Nga Pukenga | What you'll need to succeedTo get our attention, you will have:A passion for events, desire to create memorable event experiences, and willingness to get stuck in!Degree or diploma level qualification in event management or project management (or demonstrated equivalent industry experience)Demonstrated experience in event delivery (4-5 years)Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks and projectsThe ability to communicate confidently and build positive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, groups and organisationsExperience working with and a good understanding of the Health and Safety at Work ActCurrent first aid certification (preferred)Full Driver's LicenseIf you want to be part of an energetic, fun, and supportive team, are ready to hit the ground running this summer!
