About the Role EHS Support is currently looking for a Senior Compliance Specialist that will lead a team within the Business Services Group (BSG). This role is a management position designed to support the success of the individuals within the BSG. Teams Managers are the go-to contact for Team Leads and a leader in performance management to support the growth and development of the team. In addition, you will be responsible for managing project delivery as well as assisting with auditing, regulatory compliance projects, and environmental due diligence for mergers and acquisitions. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Team Management:Oversee and manage team members through Team Leads within service line in accordance with EHS Support's Values and Operating Principles.Exhibit leadership and decision-making skills while gaining team consensus and buy in.Work with Operations team to implement and manage financial controls within the group, ensuring every team member is achieving profitability targets.Manage the recruitment, integration, and performance of team members.Serve as a mentor and subject matter expert for Team Leads and other team members.Provide environmental due diligence support for mergers and acquisitions (M&A), including multi-site portfolios, ASTM Phase I environmental site assessments, and environmental liability estimate development.Assist with multimedia permitting (i.e., air, water, waste), providing compliance support in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations by:Permitting, sampling, and reporting.Data handling and analysis.Conducting regulatory research.Perform on-site environmental, health and safety (EH&S) compliance support at client facilities including but not limited to:Classification, inventory, and handling of hazardous materials.Auditing regulatory compliance and management systems at the plant and corporate level.Developing EH&S management training materials.Traveling to and participating in field activities.Establish, build, and lead projects, operations, and business activities. Qualifications/Education Bachelor's degree in science preferred, with 10-15 years of direct experience in environmental compliance programs, including CAA, CWA, RCRA, CERCLA, and environmental due diligence, environmental compliance auditing and support, and related consulting with a solid foundation in technical and regulatory subject areas, specifically understanding of:U.S. federal and state environmental regulations (knowledge of state-specific and any international regulations a plus) Prior management experience required and developing others.U.S. health, safety, and transportation regulatory programs.Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ASTM 1527-21), including language and methods of M&A transactions and environmental due diligence, liability estimates, and environmental risk mitigation.Experience with leading and conducting environmental compliance audits, assessments, and inspections to determine compliance with Federal, state, and local standards and company and agency environmental policies and procedures.Experience managing consulting teams.Strong oral and written communication skills, with ability to provide sound technical reviews of deliverables.
