The Central North Island Projects Team is responsible for delivering the Central North Island regional capital portfolio safely and effectively to achieve business objectives.
About the opportunity | Mo tenei turanga As the Senior Engineering Project Manager, you will be responsible for providing engineering and project management expertise from concept through the project life cycle to completed projects. As a key member of the CNI Projects team, you will provide coaching and mentoring to team members and support the CNI Portfolio Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Developing projects from concept to capex/implementation.
Working with key stakeholders to define roles and responsibilities for each project selected for front-end scoping.
Delivering multiple projects simultaneously and maintaining an accurate project plan.
Providing leadership to members of the project team on a day-to-day basis.
Managing the project budget and resources.
Transitioning projects at the implementation phase to the EPM.
There is flexibility for the successful candidate to be based at one of our Waikato or Bay of Plenty sites.
To be successful in this role, you will come from a technical, engineering, or project management background within a fast-paced and high-quality engineering environment. You will be familiar with project management tools and techniques, as well as having strong attention to detail to fully scope and cost projects.
You'll have a proven ability to cope with an ever-changing and busy workload effectively, as well as having excellent prioritization and decision-making skills. You'll be reliable, approachable, and able to identify and provide solutions to the wider business to keep jobs moving forward.
Ideally, you will hold a Dairy Process, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical degree.
