The opportunity You will project manage a portfolio of water and drainage asset renewal and upgrade projects through the design and construction phases. As a Senior Engineer, you are also expected to take the lead on complex issues, review work, and provide support and technical guidance to the team. We are looking for someone who is delivery focused and can build strong relationships both internal and external.
You will get to: Lead the design of three waters infrastructure projectsManage construction contracts with both internal and external stakeholdersEnsure strategic outcomes across your team's portfolio are deliveredEnsure the projects are monitored and managed as a programme to meet requirementsReview and provide guidance of designs carried out by others.About you To be successful in this role you will bring the following: Be a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng)Have a Bachelor of Engineering (preferably civil or environmental engineering) or equivalent.Ideally have 10+ years' experience delivering projectsHave a strong understanding of three waters infrastructure design and constructionBe self-motivated and have a desire for personal continuous learningHave strong coaching and mentoring skills.At Wellington Water, our purpose extends beyond delivering great water services for the region; we foster a thriving community, support a diverse workforce, and offer supportive development opportunities.
