About the role The Senior Engineer/ Representative - Technical Services leads regional technical services initiatives for a specified market segment, focussed on delivering measurable value to customers and sustainable revenue to Orica.
What you will be doing Facilitates and performs risk assessments for advanced blasting services.
Identifies and takes action to mitigate environmental risks including customer and some third party liaison.
Writes incident reports and develops strong relationships with key mine site personnel, up to Technical department head, and to other key production and operations personnel as required.
Builds extensive knowledge of key accounts and customer site hierarchy.
Manages Cat 2 and 3 misfire events.
Analyses data from blast measurements and assesses performance against a baseline.
Leads and manages product stewardship activities for the region as appropriate.
Ensures maximum service revenue generated from provided technical services as per contracted service level agreement.
Captures the value delivered to customers through case studies, promotional articles, and technical papers.
Project manages introductions of new IS, Bulk and PE products (Commercialisation of new products).
Audits of blasting practices for internal and external customers.
What you will bring Minimum 3-5 years underground experience post professional qualification, including 2 years of direct people management experience.
Proven ability to lead a team, including building a collaborative approach in the development of the direction and operations of the workstream.
Proven influencer, able to manage processes across multiple stakeholder groups.
Experience in implementing process improvement initiatives would be desirable.
Demonstrated skills associated with building strong vendor &/or customer relationships.
Good understanding of Mining Safety Management System Aspect by always prioritizing Safety Value.
