As a Senior Developer, you will play a fundamental role in shaping the design and architecture of an application. You will get to:
Write well-designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices
Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling the platform
Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them to operations and activities
Control and govern quality outcomes
Adhere to patterns and practices for secure software development
Ensure all code is documented and participate in code reviews
Contribute during estimation and design sessions
Ensure "shift left" testing policies are implemented, with unit testing being part of each code release
Mentor and coach junior and mid-level developers
Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code
Adhere to the rules in place for our source control management (ie. Git)
Participate in Lightning Talk sessions to share knowledge amongst the group
Continue to contribute to our CI/CD strategy
More about you:
You have impeccable communication and presentation skills
You are not afraid to get in and get the work done, whether working individually or as a team
You are a real problem solver and can analyse and work through complex issues and competing requirements
You have strong organisational skills and can comfortably manage multiple priorities and tasks
You genuinely enjoy assisting others to learn and possess a passion for learning and self-development
You consider yourself an expert in .NET framework, .NET Core, and ReactJS for modern single-page applications.
You are proficient in SaaS principles, system performance, cloud-native solutions (AWS/Azure), and API design/consumption.
You are experienced in capacity planning, upgrades, root cause analysis, and change management.
You are advanced in RDBMSs (MS SQL/Postgresql/MySQL) and writing complex, performant SQL queries.
You are confident in production server access for incident investigation.
You are strong with git, design patterns, secure coding, and operational risk awareness.
You have exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD practices, and tooling.
You have 5+ years of commercial software development experience, with 2-3 years of experience in .NET and 1-2 years in ReactJS.
