Developers/Programmers (Information & Communication Technology) About the Role:We are seeking a skilled Contract Senior Developer to join our clients Applications Services team. You will be involved in developing and maintaining critical software that ensures the smooth operation of these systems. Your Responsibilities Will Include:Design and Build: Develop quality software in adherence to Development Standards using the chosen technology stack (detailed below).Integration: Integrate C++ components with Java applications using JNI for seamless system operations.Collaboration: Work closely with the project team to ensure effective integration with the SCADA systems.Debugging and Optimization: Identify and resolve code issues to enhance system performance and reliability.Cross-Functional Work: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines and deliverables.Documentation: Prepare and maintain clear and concise documentation for technical specifications, code changes, and project updates.Technologies/Skills:C/C++ (Must)Java (ideal)Java Native Interface (JNI) (Ideal)Git (Must)Experience building/managing build pipelines (must)Experience with logging tools such as, Elastic Search, Logstash, Grafana/Kibana (ideal)You MUST be based in Wellington to be considered for this role – remote options will not be considered.
