Every day we help our major global clients deliver ambitious and highly technical projects, in over 130 offices worldwide.Turner & Townsend are an independent professional services company specialising in programme management, project management, cost management and consulting across the property, infrastructure and natural resources sectors.Due to significant growth and ongoing delivery success with our clients Australia wide, Turner & Townsend's Senior MEP Cost Manager will undertake pre and post contract client-facing duties for our Real Estate, Defence and Infrastructure projects, typically both in T&T office and in client offices across various projects in Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, and Perth. The role requires experience with MEP cost planning, estimating for major utilities, building services, cost reporting, procurement, and commercial management.Key ResponsibilitiesTender analysis experienceProcurement and contract advisory experienceCommercial reporting experienceVariation assessment experienceTeam training and best practiceLead and manage complex projects and programs as the key client interfaceDeveloping working relationships, problem solving, and driving projects to successful completionManaging the design process to achieve the client's requirements and manage expectationsReviewing project plans and specifications, scheduling, cost-saving measures, discrepancies, potential construction problems, etc.Managing project safety and environmental requirementsManaging project timelines, risks, and reportingManaging project budgets and advising on options to keep budget on trackChairing project/site meetings with clients, consultants, and contractorsEngaging with marketing and business development initiativesQualifications: RICS, AIQS with a Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or MEP Engineering degree.At Turner & Townsend, we promote a healthy, productive, and flexible working environment that respects work-life balance.
