YOUR ROLE
As a Senior Corporate Lawyer, you'll join IAG's high performing legal team (awarded the 2022 Large Legal Team of the Year at the ACC Corporate Lawyer awards). This 12-month fixed term position in the Corporate legal team will see you working closely with the business and providing commercially focused, strategic legal advice and support in a range of corporate-related areas.
The role will focus on providing legal and related services, championing ethical conduct and practices, building partnerships and working collaboratively in a high performing, client-focussed team.
This is a 12-month fixed term contract role based in Sydney or Melbourne.
ABOUT YOU
Senior qualified legal practitioner with proven experience in the areas of corporate and securities law, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate governance, continuous disclosure, ESG and general corporate-type agreements and advisory.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to proactively provide client-centric solutions.
Ability to triage multiple priorities and work autonomously in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
A basic understanding of general insurance and/or the broader financial services industry is highly regarded, but not essential.
